Questions, answered.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad running iOS 18 or later, including iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. The Liquid Glass design shines on iOS 26 and iOS 27, and the app also works on iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.
How do I add a widget?
Long-press an empty area of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Live Seconds. On the Lock Screen, long-press, tap Customise, then pick a widget slot.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Hindi, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic.
Is Live Seconds free?
No. Live Seconds is a paid app with a one-time purchase on the App Store (US$1.99 on the US storefront). There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising, and updates are free.
Do I need to jailbreak my iPhone?
No. Live Seconds is a regular App Store app and only uses public iOS features: widgets, a Live Activity for the Dynamic Island and Picture in Picture for the Floating Clock. Nothing on your device is modified.
Can the status bar clock itself show seconds?
No. iOS does not let any app change the system clock in the status bar. Live Seconds puts a ticking seconds counter right next to it in the Dynamic Island, or in a Floating Clock on iPhones without one.
Can it show milliseconds?
Yes. Turn on Show Milliseconds in the settings and a millisecond digit follows the seconds wherever the app shows the full time, including the expanded Dynamic Island card and Bedside Mode.
Does it drain the battery?
No noticeable drain. The widgets are drawn by iOS, and the Dynamic Island clock is a Live Activity, a system feature that uses about as much power as a Now Playing card. The app makes no network requests.
Is there an Apple Watch version?
No. Live Seconds runs on iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo. There is no Apple Watch app.
